Green Grit Plasterers Primer

PLASPRIME® GREENGRIT® - Plasterer approved performance – what’s the secret?

Plasprime® original Green Grit® stabilising primer has been specially developed for the plastering professional by plasterers. It primes and stabilises most interior surfaces, including previously plastered walls, prior to the application of new plaster.

It can be applied over internal areas that are off a sound substrate to give a surface that dries evenly, giving excellent adhesion and a faster, easier and superior finish.

Plasprime® original Green Grit® has been specially developed for preparing surfaces prior to re-skimming and can be applied over brick, blocks, plaster, plasterboard, bonding/browning/hard wall coatings and internal renders. It stabilises problem surfaces including:

  • Well-adhered emulsion paint
  • Wallpaper adhesive residues
  • Old plaster’s/ render’s
  • Primes and stabilises previously plastered/unplastered surfaces and substrates
  • Excellent key for re-skimming

Unlike other products on the market, it doesn’t contain any harsh or porous aggregates which may:

Absorbs moisture from the plaster, causing cracking (flash drying)

Gives a patchy and uneven key

Causes mess by flying off the brush or roller when applying

Drags through the plaster, leaving lines and marks

Sinks to the bottom of the tub meaning continuous mixing, resulting in un-uniformed distribution upon application

  • Coloured for controlled application

The green colour allows you to see exactly the area primed.

  • No mixing required

Unlike other products on the market, no mixing is required, meaning you can plaster faster.

Simply apply consistently with a 6-inch emulsion brush or roller straight from the bucket

  • Improves working time

There’s no waiting around for the perfect tack. Simply allow Plasprime Green Grit® Plasterer’s Primer to dry completely. Once dry, you can return to plaster at any time, which is great when working on large areas.

  • Recycled Plastic

The patented Plasprime® technology contains recycled plastic, which is advantageous for the environment and provides an excellent key for re-skimming.
